Membership Information 2020


Boulder Promotion and Development Association Inc (BP&DA) has been running since 18 January 1993  as a 'not for profit' community organisation led by a volunteer committee. BP&DA receives some funding from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder which enables employment of  a part-time coordinator. BP&DA needs the support of all retailers to keep the orgaisation and local events moving forward - this funding does not cover the Boulder Markets.

2019 was a successful year for BP&DA with a new coordinator on board. There was a record number of supporting business members which enabled more advertising on Facebook as well as newspaper and radio advertising on Triple M including pre-recorded ads and live chats. There was also an outside broadcast on Burt Street in December - another Boulder based radio promotion coming up in April 2020.

12 markets (many themed), school holiday discovery trails (3), Boulderfest, a calendar printed, Carols in the Park, TomatoFest and a major Christmas promotion were all successful.

The well supported Boulder Markets are now held every third Sunday of the month except September due to Coolgardie Day. 2019 gave BP&DA challenges with weather and clashing events and is now looking at promotiong the market slightly differently including using GWN7 in the week leading up to it. They are the only regular monthly markets in the region.
