Boulder Miners MonumentMiners Monument

Unveiled in August in 1984 by the late Kevin Parry, Chairman of the Miner’s Monument Committee, the monument was erected in tribute to all the mine workers past, present and future, who through their skills and matchless work gave the Golden Mile its worldwide reputation.

Depicting a miner using an air leg drill as would be seen underground in the mines, the monument was sculpted by Clement Somers and modelled by Merve Western.

The monument is located at the corner of Burt Street and Lane Street, Boulder.
