Federation Plaques

Outside the Boulder Court House are four plaques. These plaques placed in the alcove outside the Camera Club portion of the Court House are to commemorate the part that Boulder played in the Federation of Western Australia.

This small display, continuously open to the Public, records this momentous event in Western Australia’s history where the Goldfields challenged the rest of the State to hold a Referendum on becoming part of the Commonwealth of Australia, and won the day. The rest is history.
